Omega Phi Alpha needed to diversify funding beyond annual dues in order to implement the leadership development and service programs to take its chapters to the next level. Jan engaged the Board in aspirant research and cultivated a shared vision around the benefits of forming a Foundation. She led execution of the effort to create and file the formation documents, resulting in the formal establishment of the 501c(3). She also recruited Foundation Board members with the passion, skills and vision to establish initial fundraising and disbursement strategies. The OPA Foundation is now a reality after many years of wishful thinking.
